Introducing

AIR WIRELESS
TECHNOLOGY

  • TRANSPARENT

Existing DOCSIS 3.1 signals are transformed to higher frequencies, transmitted wirelessly and converted back to original DOCSIS signals at the customer premise without signal degradation.

  • PERFORMANT

  • STABLE

  • ECONOMIC

  • SEAMLESS

Synergistic to Existing
Cable’s Operations

  1. 01
    PROVISIONING
Use your existing DOCSIS infrastructure and processes to configure, provision and activate cable modems and desired services.
  1. 02
    MONITORING
Manage cable modems with your existing DOCSIS toolset. Monitor and manage base stations with standard SNMP.
  1. 03
    DIAGNOSTICS
Access to Base Station diagnostics over the SNMP protocol allows for seamless integration into the existing diagnostic procedures used in cable networks.
  1. 04
    PROCESSES
Customer installation processes are same as in Cable network, except Transciever installation and antenna alingment is needed for DOCSIS wireless.

Docsis RF Signal Path

Docsis Standard

Using existing Docsis standard wirelessly, including Docsis ability to adjust for adverse RF conditions.

Latency

Reduced latency vs coax based Docsis implementations.

Frequency Flexibility

Air Wireless provides wireless Docsis implementations from 2 to 90GHz

Speed: The Sky Is the Limit!

Current generation maximum speeds per Base Station containing 4 Sectors in a 360° setup for the e-band frequency range.

Downstream

70,000 - 70.500 GHz

Download speeds at 20,428 MBs

Upstream

80,000 - 80.500 GHz

Upstream speeds at 7,004 MBs

Service levels may be slightly lower than in fixed line networks due to dependency of some frequencies on distance and weather conditions. Depending on the frequency, distance to the transceiver, Docsis spectrum allocation in the HFC network, fully equipped base station streams between 2Gbit/s and 20Gbit/s.

Broadband Speeds at Any Frequency
with Powerful Range

Frequency

Any frequency range between 2 and 90 GHz supported.

Maximum Throughput

Cumulative downlink capacity per base station (4 sectors). 400 MHz frequency bandwidth is required to utilize DOCSIS 3.1 @ 384 MHz

Maximum Range

Dependent on clear weather and clear line of sight
